Seton Hall's WSOU celebrating 25 years of metal

Possibly NJ's best known college radio station, WSOU is celebrating 25 years of metal. How are they doing so? "We're planning a concert at Starland Ballroom on April 29.  Also, for the whole month of April we're going to have WSOU alumni come back and do shows".

Shadows Fall to headline WSOU's Not So Silent Night Showcase

Massachusetts metal act Shadows Fall will take part of WSOU's "Not So Silent Night" showcase. The event will take place at Starland Ballroom on Sunday December 19th. Other acts on the bill include A Life Once Lost and NJ's own With Daggers Drawn. More bands will be announced soon. Tickets are only $10 but there is an exclusive Shadows Fall pre-sale. The first 200 people who purchase tickets will recieve a VIP laminate and the first 30 people in line for the show who bought a pre-sale ticket will take part in a special meet and greet with the band before the show. Shadows Fall released their live CD/DVD "Madness In Manilla:Shadows Fall Live In The Philippines 2009" last week via Everblack Industries/Ferret Music.

Madball premieres new album tonight on WSOU

NY hardcore band Madball will be premiering their new album "Empire" in its entirety tonight on WSOU's "Pirated Advance" starting at 9pm. Vocalist Freddy Cricien will be doing an interview about the album and there will be on-air giveaways of "Empire" to listeners. Listen to WSOU on 89.5FM or stream it online. Empires will be released next Tuesday through Good Fight Music. The band have also announced an East Coast winter tour along with Bitter End and Lionheart. The tour will hit up The Barbary on December 16th and The Studio at Webster Hall on December 19th.

Generation Kill interview on WSOU tommorow

Generation Kill, featuring Exodus lead singer Rob Dukes,will have an exclusive interview on WSOU tommorow starting at 3:00pm. Listen to it on the web at wsou.net. Generation Kill has also posted a demo clip for the song "Walking Dead" on their myspace. The band is currently in the studio writing new material for their upcoming release. Their debut album is set to be released early next year.

Generation Kill was formed by Rob Dukes current Exodus front man and Rob Moschetti Ex-Pro-Pain,M.O.D.

The original concept of the band was to break away from the current formula. By embracing their roots and incorporating them into the project Generation Kill is a true crossover band. Each song has its own identity, and mood, which gives the band its original sound without abandoning their influences.
