The Gaslight Anthem and Fake Problems have announced a new split 7" inch set to be released on April 26th. The split will feature the Fake Problems track "Songs for Teenagers" and The Gaslight Anthem's cover of that song.
Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem and Fake Problems recently covered the Blink-182 classic "Dammit" at a show in Vancouver. The Gaslight Anthem and Fake Problems are currently on tour together with a stop at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday September 30th. Tickets are still available for that show. Rival Schools will also be performing at the show.
Fake Problems & The Gay Blades brought an end to their awesomely fabulous three night tour at Maxwell's in Hoboken. The up-and-coming New Brunswick band, Let Me Run opened the show with their new singer, Dan Maxwell. Unfortunately I was unable to catch their set, but Matt from Deaf Left Ear was all over it. You can check out his photos and bit about Let Me Run at DLE.
Seeing The Gay Blades for the first time last night made me come to the realization of one thing, rock duo's usually can put on a show. There's The White Stripes, Steely Dan, Simon & Garfunkel (sortof) and now The Gay Blades. One of the most entertaining sets I've seen in a long time. Make sure to check out their debut record Ghosts.
Fake Problems are an indie rock group from Naples, Florida. They've been out on the road for the better part of the year in support of their 2nd full length It's Great to Be Alive, which came out last February on One Side Dummy. All the tour dates haven't seem to tire them at all though. Their highly energetic performance accompanied with the always great Maxwell's sound made for a perfect ending to an all around great bill.
