Paul Banks of Interpol working on new solo album

Interpol frontman Paul Banks (sometimes known as Julian Plenti) has announced that he is working on a new album of solo material. Banks released his first solo album, Julian Plenti Is… Skyscraper back in 2009.

The Brit hasn’t given much detail yet about the new album except that will be out sometime in 2012 and that like his first album and most of Interpol’s discography, it will be with Matador. No specifics yet about title, release date, tracklist, artwork, or even whether it will be a Paul Banks or Julian Plenti album. Check out the puppet Paul Banks in Interpol's "Evil" video below.
