Alabama Shakes release b-side "Heavy Chevy" (mp3). Appearing on Austin City Limits.

It's a busy news day for the Alabama Shakes. The Athens group have released a b-side, titled "Heavy Chevy", from their forthcoming debut studio album, Boys & Girls, for free download. You can grab the mp3 (price of an email addresss) and/or stream the track below.

Brittany Howard & Co. have also announced a slew of North American tour dates. All of those newly added shows can be found below as well. And last, but not least, the band will be appearing on PBS's Austin City Limits. The episode tapes March 13th. No word on when it'll air just yet. Boys & Girls is out April 10th via ATO Records.
