Music video: First Serve - "Must B The Music"

De La Soul side-project First Serve are gearing up for their debut full-length with a fantastic new music video. The “Must B The Music” clip mixes cutout animation and live-action footage to tell the comic-book style tale of First Serve’s day. As great as the video is it can’t overshadow the badass, funky track itself. “Must B The Music” appears on First Serve’s upcoming self-titled debut due out April 2 via Duck Down Music/Pias.

First Serve is comprised of Kelvin Mercer and Dave Jolicoeur, aka Plug 1 and Plug 2 or Jacob “Pop Life” Barrow and Deen Whittier. The duo previously released one album track, “Pushin’ Aside, Pushin’ Along” and The Goon Time Mixtape under the First Serve moniker. Additionally the Plugs have launched a web series, which is essentially an expanded version of the music video.
