Music video: Chromatics - "Into The Black"

Johnny Jewel and director Alberto Rossini have teamed up again, this time for a new Chromatics music video. The Italian director put together the 1970s style clip of Chromatics frontwoman Ruth Radelet and guitarist Adam Miller performing their parts of the track, “Into The Black” through varying geometric frames. Rossini recently directed similarly retro music videos for Johnny Jewel’s other bands Glass Candy, Desire, and Symmetry.
The track is a cover of one of Neil Young’s heaviest songs, “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)” from Rust Never Sleeps. Chromatics’ version comes from their forthcoming fourth full-length, Kill For Love. As the video description notes, the footage was recorded back in 2009, so apparently Chromatics have had this one on the shelf for some time. Take a look at Chromatics’ video, stream or download the song, and listen to Neil Young’s original below.
