Music video: Sondre Lerche - "When The River"

Norwegian indie-popstar Sondre Lerche released a new music video yesterday. The song in question, “When The River”, comes from Lerche’s self-titled sixth album, which came out back in June via his own Mona Records. His label’s namesake, Mona Fastvold Lerche, is Sondre’s wife and she also directed the music video.

The video splices footage of Sondre and his band performing the song with various Super 8 clips. Apparently those clips are all home videos supplied by David Hellman, Lerche’s drummer. The video and song are both a little sappy, but their sentimentality certainly suits each other. Check out the “When The River” video below, courtesy of Stereogum.
