Ty Segall has three albums on the way

California alt-rocker Ty Segall has announced that he will release two new albums in the next few months. Segall told Dartbeat that he is working on an album on his own and another with his touring band. The former will be written, performed, and recorded solely by Segall and will be out soon via Drag City. The latter is a “mini LP” of just eight songs written, performed, and recorded with the band and released via In The Red. That album is meant to capture the spirit of Segall’s live shows and will be “a lot harder and louder”.
Additionally, Segall revealed last week that he and fellow Californian White Fence (aka Tim Presley) are working on a collaborative album. Segall and White Fence will be on tour together through May and their record will be titled Hair and is due out in April via Drag City. Check out Ty’s tour schedule below.
