Ben Folds Five recording new album to be released this spring

Last night, Ben Folds posted a photo of himself in the studio with Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee with the hashtag "#NewBenFoldsFiveRecord" on Facebook. Yesterday was apparently the reunited group's first day in the studio working on their new album. Folds & Co. are set to be there all the way through March.

When a fan asked on Twitter "when will we hear something?", Ben replied "spring release". If Ben Folds Five's entire fourth studio album, their first since 1999's The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, really is dropping this spring, the trio sure are embracing the digital age. Let's hope that's the case.
