People from near and far, flocked to the sold out show at the School of Rock on Saturday night to see Folly play their 3rd reunion show. This show is in a string of five total reunion shows (the final two are in Stanhope, NJ). Local acts Black KitesThe Fire Still Burns & Communication Redlight opened the show, to the jam packed crowd who were restlessly waiting to see the band of the night Folly.

It has been almost four years since we’ve seen Folly perform and from the sound of it Saturday night it seems like they haven’t missed a beat. They tore through classic songs like “Discussion for the Pigs”, “Repeat, I Repeat, Repeat” “I’ve Been Running for Miles, Davis” from their album Insanity Later. They also played older songs from their For My Friends EP where the entire floor was filled with kids skanking to their ska infused hardcore. Bodies were seen flying all over the room whether it was from kids stage diving during every song, or the clashing bodies in the pit. The guys in Folly whenever they had a chance were able to thank the crowd numerous times for the undying support and loyalty. They repeatedly said if it weren’t for them these shows wouldn’t have happened.

I have to say it was good seeing a lot of young faces in the crowd enjoying this amazing New Jersey band. I’ve had the privilege seeing them numerous times throughout the years & at their farewell show at the Main Stage a few years ago. It was truly a special night for all those in attendance, who got to see these guys perform maybe for the last time.

Thanks again Folly you will be missed!
