Video Premiere: Titus Andronicus - "No Future Part Three: Escape From No Future"
Friday, April 29, 2011 at 12:00 AM Titus Andronicus have decided to premiere their new video for "No Future Part Three: Escape From No Future" in the great state of New Jersey first (sort of). Well, they have made it a point to make it available for Jersey residents, stores, venues and even websites (that's where we come in), first. Why are they doing this? Because the Glen Rock group's new 5:43 second piece, which was directed by WFMU DJ Tom Scharpling, is about showing the world "what New Jersey is really all about." The entire video was filmed in the Garden State back in February. Hitting the Pine Barrens, Asbury Park, New Brunswick and Jersey City particularly.
As you will find out soon enough, the video starts off with a defensive Jersey rant from everyone's favorite frontman, Patrick Stickles. The critically-acclaimed quintet then proceed to 'rock' each of the locations listed above. The track "No Future Part Three: Escape From No Future" comes from the group's 2nd (and latest) LP, The Monitor, which dropped just over a year ago. If you still have not picked that album up, you can do so here. Thanks to the kind folks over at XL Records, Titus Andronicus's new music video can be viewed below.
