Focus Tracks: 'The People's Key' by Bright Eyes

Brights Eyes recently made their new (possibly last) album The People's Key available for streaming, despite not being officially available until Conor Oberst's Birthday, February 15th. The ten song effort has been receiving mostly positive reactions and at first impression, the record seems to be a mix of Digital Ash In A Digital Urn & Cassadaga. Stream the entire album via the Youtube player below. Stream clips of our song picks via the Amazon widget below. Don't have time to listen to whole album or just not sure you want too? Well, here is where you should start:

"Shell Games"

"My private life is an inside joke

No one will explain it to me"

"Jejune Stars"

"The wheel I'm becoming erases the physical mind

Until all that remains is a staircase of misinformation"

"Haile Selassie"

"I'll take in some comfort in knowing the wave has crested

Knowing I don't have to be an exception"

"One for You, One for Me"

"You and me, you and me that is an awful lie, It's I and I"
