Jay-Z to Play Two Shows at Carnegie Hall in February

After selling more records than god, marrying one of the hottest women in the world, and becoming among the most influential artists of a generation, where do you go from there? If you're Jay-Z, the answer is Carnegie Hall. On February 6th and 7th, the rapper will play New York's most historic venue to benefit the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. This will be the first ever hip-hop concert in the history of the venue. Jay says:

"It's every artists dream to play a venue as legendary as Carnegie Hall. The fact that I can use the arts and my talent to benefit the education of the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and great thinkers makes for a legendary night. I’m proud to be a part of the continuing work of United Way of New York City and expanding the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation."

Tickets will be sold privately on Monday Dec. 12. However, a limited number of tickets will go on sale to the public on Jan. 30. No word yet on what the performances will be like or who Jay-Z will be performing with, but you have to imagine he'll pull out all the stops for this unique occasion.

Jay-Z released and album this year with Kanye West. Maybe you head of it? Check out the video for "Otis" below.
