Stream Nirvana: Live at Man Ray in 1990

Get out your flannel, a long-lost audio recording of a Nirvana live show has surfaced. The 42-minute set comes from April 18, 1990 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at Man Ray. The up-and-coming grunge heroes hadjust one album out, Bleach, and had yet to enlist their drummer, future Foo Fighter Dave Grohl. The band was still working on their masterpiece record Nevermind, of which Cobain says mockingly mid-set “It’s gonna be a blast”.

Duane Bruce, a DJ for Boston's WFNX captured the set and was nice enough to put it online yesterday. Have a listen to these live versions of most of Bleach plus “Breed”, “In Bloom”, “Stain”, and a few others below.
