Feist & Mastodon to record split EP

The unlikely duo of Canadian singer-songwriter Feist and metal band Mastodon are planning on sharing a 7” for next year’s Record Store Day. The EP will include a cross-genre cover of each artist by the other. Mastodon's Troy Sanders said that Mastodon will "throw some hair and dirt" on a Feist song and Feist will take a Mastodon track and "pretty it up a little bit".

Mastodon and Feist both released major albums this summer with The Hunter and Metals via Reprise Records and Arts & Crafts Productions respectively. Troy Sanders tell MTV News Canada about the April 21 release below.
