Hoodie Allen, along with a legendary rapper, helped kick off the Re:Mix Labs event series this past Wednesday night. Chelsea's Wine & Storage was tricked out for the party with bikes, cars and sneakers scattered all over the place. DJ Neil Armstrong opened the evening with several old school and new school jams, which kept the crowd moving.
NYC hip hop duo Dean and Ravo took the stage around 11pm and kept the party going. The highlight of their set was when D.M.C from legendary rap group Run D.M.C took the stage to jam with them on the popular Run D.M.C. track "Walk This Way". You can download Dean and Ravo's mixtape A to B here.
Hoodie Allen performed next and the crowd lit up for the New York rapper. Most in attendance sang along to every word as he performed cuts from Pep Rally and Leap Year. You can download those two albums, as well as Making Waves & The Bagels and Beats EP, here.
