The Strokes' new record expected to be released in March

In a recent interview with NME, Strokes bassist, Nikolai Fraiture revealed that the NYC group's long awaited 4th studio album will most likely see a release this March. Nikolai said ""Sonically, I feel it's the album which should have been made between Room On Fire and First Impressions Of Earth," he said, adding that the album echoes the band's "classic sound"." The indie-rock quintet started playing shows again for the first time in years this past Summer, but have yet to make a public (played private Fashion Week party) NYC appearance. The Strokes upcoming LP is currently in the mixing stages and has yet to be titled. We'll let you know when the new album has an official release date. More can be read over at NME. Video of The Strokes performing at 2010's Austin City Limits can be found below. If you haven't yet, don't forget to check out our coverage of Julian Casablanca's solo show at Starland Ballroom from last March.

"You Only Live Once" is a really good song, but that's about it for their 3rd LP.

oh, and the demo for that song is way better.
