We would have loved to catch Ok Go and The Bravery's sets the night before at UC Music Fest, but the risk of not making it out of there in time before Train took the stage was just too great. Luckily, we were able to catch The Zombies and Spoon's sets on the final night on UC Music Fest. Some of the other acts that performed at this years Fest included Jesse Maline, Robert Randolph, Soul Asylum, Nicole Atkins & The Sea and hometown heros Socratic.

The Zombies formed over 50 years ago and are responsible for one of the best albums ever released, Odessey & Oracle. The legendary English group, headed over to the USA for just 3 dates. Their performance on Sunday featured a Colin Blunestone who has somehow managed to keep his voice in top shape. Rod Argent was surprisingly active, see the video of his keyboard solo during "Time of the Season" below to find out what I mean.

Headliners, Spoon brought a conclusion to this years UC Music Fest with a crowd pleasing 19 song set. The rain from earlier in the evening may have waned on the crowd, regardless those that did make it out caught a memorable performance. Their set kicked-off with the opener from their album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, "Don't Make Me A Target". Then proceed to include a selection of songs mostly off their last three studio albums. The Austin, TX group's set also included a cover of the somewhat recently deceased Jay Reatard. A video of Spoon covering "No Time" can be found below.
