NJ's Titus Andronicus played a tour kickoff show this past Thursday at Hoboken's Maxwell's. The sold-out show was the first of a month long national tour with Free Energy. If you missed the Maxwell's show, the tour will wrap up Saturday, September 25th at Webster Hall in NYC. Tickets are still available and can be picked up here.
This past March Titus Andronicus released their Civil War themed, 2nd studio album titled The Monitor. The record has since been well received by critics and fans. The growing indie rock group recently appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. If you'd like to check out videos from a past Maxwell's show and see how far the band has come both performance wise and fan-base wise you can do so here.

Really dig "A More Perfect Union" and a couple other songs off the record, but a lot of it I can't get into.
How many times has this band played at Maxwell's? I can recall seeing a record release gig there in January 2009 - I can guess at least 3 or 4 more times. Best time ever seeing this band was when the opened for Ted Leo in Kearney.
love the new record! thinking about hitting up Webster Hall
these guys were awful when I saw them live, but than again they were just a 3 piece at the time.
Good to see an NJ band doing well. Dig them more than any of that really out their hipster Ridgewood stuff.
