Future Future

NB's finest Screaming Females made an appearance at Montclair's Meat Locker this past Saturday, May 15th. The New Brunswick group performed probably their best and longest set I've seen them play yet. They recently just finished recording their follow-up to 2009's Power Move. No word on a title or release date for their new LP yet, but you can read more about it at their blog. The indie/punk trio head out on a full US tour tomorrow, which concludes with a full week of dates with NJ's own Ted Leo. You can find all of those dates on their Myspace.
Sparta's Future Future were also on Saturday nights bill. The group is currently one of the best undiscovered bands coming out of NJ yet. Their song "10,000 Ft of Snow" is featured on our Sounds of NJ compilation, which just came out today. Be sure to download the song for free. Also, check out all of their upcoming shows here. Old Wives and Baby Pilot opened the show as well.

Hoping they get their record out this summer. Seen them a bunch, want new material already.
Future Future is the shit. Those guys should go far!
something makes me think future future wouldnt be a band if their dad didnt coax them into playing music
or maybe im just jealous that their rich dad buys them fancy shit
but they did look pretty uninterested while their dad ran around setting up their gear
ha
woah, Future Future sound pretty cool. Really wanted to make this to see Screaming Females, guess I'll have to catch them when their new record is out.
