Socratic "in the process of cutting ties with Drive-Thru Records". Recording new music.

Socratic recently talked with NJ's Aquarian Weekly about what they've been up to lately and what they have in store for the future. According to the write-up, the veteran Cranford, NJ group is currently trying to cut ties with their label Drive-Thru Records, which in recent years has been spiraling out relevancy to a music scene it once dominated. The pop-rock outfit have apparently been working on some new material. Just last month the group posted a (sort of) new (re-recorded) song titled "Give & Take 2" on their Myspace. No word on when you can expect to see a new release from the group, but we'll let you know as soon as they announce it. Though Socratic don't have any current announced dates they did mention they are planning to head down to 2011's SXSW. Be sure to read the full Aquarian piece here.

I can't believe how bad drive-thru has gotten over the years. I hope they can find a new label! These guys deserve it.
