Twin Shadow
Bear in Heaven, the Brooklyn based band, sold out there hometown show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. It fittingly ended their national tour for their acclaimed 2009 album Beast Rest For Mouth. They played their anthemic psych-pop set engulfed in fog and flashing bright lights, bringing a moody atmosphere to charged electric peaks. Phili bad, Sun Airway opened the show with songs from their debut LP Nocturne Of Exlpoded Crystal Chandelier, However, Twin Shadow, the moniker of George Lewis Jr.'s, seemed to have the largest audience of the night. The crowd packed, head nodding and swaying in unison to his haunting Morrissey-tinged songs from his debut album Forget, produced by Grizzley's Bear Chris Taylor. Music Hall Of Williamsburg was drenched in heavy-handed ambient layers of that Brooklyn Indie sound and wafting scents of weed. Lewis got in the action and accepted a hit from one fan's joint. Yea, It was that kind of show.
