Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1:30 AM Montclair's Those Mockingbirds were recently featured on Pollifax.com's series called Wanderer Sessions. You can check out a video of them performing their song "The Deer and the Derrick" as well as a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain"in a New Brunswick parking garage above. Make sure to check out all of the Wanderer Sessions as well as the complete story on the Those Mockingbirds' session here. Excerpt below. The rock quintet are currently in the studio recording new material that should hopefully be out in the near future.
Busy, busy, busy. That day there were a bunch of tornado warnings issued out for the New York-New Jersey area, coupled with a bunch of tiny tornadoes shooting down into New York-New Jersey area. I was enclosed in my car. I was parked by a meter that was flashing red. It was empty. There was a storm pouring down arrows and shafts of rainwater. There were girls wearing skirts and using their little books to shield the tops of their heads while the rest of their bodies got blasted by the rain. There were other people too, you know, doing the same thing. Muscular guys with their sleeveless shirts and suited professors and little Asian girls with their tiny dogs. They were all shielding the tops of their heads with their books and briefcases and dogs while the rest of their bodies got shot with water. Nobody checks the weather anymore. [Wander Sessions]
