Nostalgia Post 11#: Saves the Day @ Club Vertex 8.16.99

About 11 years ago Saves the Day stopped by a small, Goth/Industrail, Rochester NY nightclub named Club Vertex. The NJ group were out in support of their debut record Can't Slow Down. Their set also included what they call "new songs" at the time such as: Holly, Hox Forget Me Not and Shoulder to the Wheel. Just about 3 months later the young band would release their break out record Through Being Cool via Equal Vision Records. To catch classics like "I'm Sorry I'm Leaving", "Always Ten Feet Tall", "Blindfolded" and many others be sure to check out their entire set. Part A above. Parts B, C and D below.

Ah yes, the tour with Farside and Kid Dynamite, with the I'm Sorry I'm Leaving EP having just come out. Great tour, amazing times. I caught that show in Long Island. (The Movielife opened!)

And now in 2010, on their current tour, Saves The Day aren't playing a single song off of Can't Slow Down. *sigh* What I wouldn't give to hear The Choke live again.

They actually played "The Choke" at Starland earlier this year on the NFG anniversary tour.
