Ted Leo signs with Matador Records

Though there is no statement from the label or Ted Leo himself, Ted Leo's website now lists Matador as his record label. No word on when a new record will be out, but this past June Ted put up a new demo for streaming, you can listen to "Where Was My Brian" here. The Bloomfield resident currently doesn't have any NJ dates planned, but he will be playing at Bowery Ballroom in NYC December 6th. Tickets for that show can be found here. Thanks to Pitchfork for pointing this out.

When Lookout! Records folded, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists moved to Touch and Go. Then, earlier this year, Touch and Go stopped releasing new records.

Now, the ever-resourceful Leo has found himself a new home: Matador Records. Eagle-eyed reader John Tryneski noticed that Leo's website now lists Matador as his record label, and the label has confirmed it. [Pitchfork]
