All Points West Day 3 shafts Jersey Bands

The Gaslight Anthem

Due to inclement weather All Points West was forced to cancel Sunday's early performers, which included the only two New Jersey bands on the festival, The Gaslight Anthem & Steel Train. They were scheduled to go on back to back on the festival's main stage. Steel Train at 2:30pm & The Gaslight Anthem at 3:45pm. Unfortunately the doors were not open until 4pm due to heavy rain, thunder and lighting.

The NJ Underground covered the first two days of All Points West, but due to the only New Jersey bands being cut from day 3 we decided to forgo its coverage. The Gaslight Anthem have already issued a brief statment along with the announcement of a New York City date, which might help compensate for the disappointment of their cancelation. Steel Train have yet to issue a statement and have no other local dates scheduled at this time. Message from The Gaslight Anthem below.

We're psyched to announce two more shows on our Fall tour:

Oct 15 in NYC at Terminal 5
Oct 17 in Boston at House of Blues

Both shows will be with Murder By Death, Jesse Malin and Broadway Calls. Check our tour schedule for more details...tickets go on sale in the next few days and both shows are ALL AGES....

And to all of you who, like us, were very disappointed that we were cut from the lineup at All Points West today in NJ at the last minute, and with no warning, we are incredibly sorry that things ended up like they did. Obviously the weather was terrible and the festival delayed opening doors for several hours, but we were seriously looking forward to playing for everyone who came out and braved the rain and lightning. When we learned that we weren't going to be allowed to play (ironically the weather had just improved dramatically when we got the word), we were totally taken by surprise. Needless to say, we're very bummed about the whole thing.

Hopefully we'll see many of you in the NY/NJ area at our NYC show on Oct 15....and again, our apologies to all of you who were affected by what went down today. [The Gaslight Anthem]
