Socratic, Punchline, Someone Say Something @ Mexicali Live 6/21
Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM Socratic

Socratic opened their set with the always enjoyable, Theme From Your Mothers Garden. They went on to play a set that featured songs from all their releases, leaving both new and old Socratic fans happy. As usual Socratic displayed their ability to be unbelievably in sync with each other as well as deliver songs that just about beat out all of the music being made in NJ right now. My favorite song of the night was a new one called, A Better Place Is Waiting, which you should definitely check out a video of here.
Punchline

Punchline has been a band for over 10 years and their live performance shows it. They flawlessly mowed through a set of mostly songs from their latest record, Just Say Yes. If you're not familiar with Punchline, they are the band to check out if you like, The Movie Life, All Time Low or New Found Glory.
Someone Say Something

Someone Say Something are a relatively new band, but it's not something you could figure out from their live performance. This quintet has the chemistry of a band that has been playing together for years and a live show that keeps your eyes fixed on the stage the whole time. They didn't slow down the rock at any point and even busted out a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, what more could you want? They just released a new self titled E.P. which I highly suggest everyone checks out.
