GDP, Pistol Pete, To Live & Die In NJ @ Death City 6/18
Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 2:13 PM GDP

GDP is one of those rappers that you listen to and just know he's going to blow up and his live performance does nothing to negate that. Anytime GDP takes the mic you get the feeling that he knows what the hell he's doing. He took a small (leaking) New Brunswick basement with a few dozen people in it and created chaos. Can't pick which song was the best of the night, you're just going to have to check um all out.
Pistol Pete

Their aren't many white, shit talkin rappers from NJ, that make you actually believe half of the shit they say, but Pistol Pete comes off as one of those rappers that actually will kick your f-in ass. His rhythms flow, his lyrics are gansta, to hear what I mean check out 'Rocky Road' here.
To Live & Die In NJ

The common knowledge that the opening act tends to suck is proven time and time again with almost every show you attend, To Live & Die In NJ made sure they were the exception to the rule. With jazzy, eclectic beats and rhythms that range from dropping serious knowledge to "they held him down and Whoopi Goldberg sucked his dick" the set was never less than entertaining. The best song of their set was 'Place Your Bets' which you can check out here.
