Tourmaline took the stage just after midnight, opening with the juggernaut Yesterday Always Forgets. The room probably had more people squeezed in it than it should have. Either way no one seemed to mind. Tourmaline played a set of fast paced ROCK songs only slowing it down to play a new piano song, which I wasn't able to catch the name of. In between songs were protest rants, during songs were mosh pits. Overall the set had just about everything a rock show should.

The Derelicts
So our photographer was unable to grab photos of The Derelicts set, but at least we have this gem of a pre-show photo of 2 of the 5 members.
I was fortunate enough to have already seen The Derelicts once before and was definitely looking forward to their set. The Derelicts will give any punk fan exactly what they want, a great set of straight forward punk songs, coupled with a great live show. Also, one of the few bands you'll get a "FUCK the police!" and a "FUCK The Derelicts" chant all in one set.
WARNING: If you are overly concerned about getting a black eye or having your teeth knocked out, stay out of The Derelicts mosh pit.
The Bootleg Flyers
The Bootleg Flyers are a new band hailing from Verona, NJ. They play solid folk rock songs that remind me of Dispatch and Neil Young. These guys definitely give the NJ music scene some variety. They also have a very tight live performance for such a new band. I'm excited to see how these guys develop over time.

2nd time seeing Tourmaline, they were alright the first, amazing this time though!
I haven't seen Tourmaline since Bloomfield Ave. Cafe closed, and they were playing pop punk shit. Tourmaline now is ALOT better.
I got their late, but ended up catching the last half of The Derelicts set, they were fucking awesome. Tourmaline and them should play more shows together. Tourmaline were great as always. The singer seemed more pissed off then usual, which made for good moshing.
