Glassjaw were the unannounced special guest at the Sons Modern Booking Holiday Party this past Wednesday at Maxwell's in Hoboken. Last month I got to catch the group open for Brand New @ Nassau Coliseum and I was very pleased with their performance to say the least. So I was a little thrown off by people talking about how their Nassau performance was lacking something. Now after seeing Glassjaw play the 250 capacity club that is Maxwell's, I can definitely understand where people are coming from. Daryl was interacting with the audience their whole set and he was probably in the crowd as much of the time as he was on the stage. I somehow managed to snap nine hundred photos in seven songs, which I think says something on its own about how intense of a set this was. Though very short, intimate performances like these don't happen very often and it was a pleasure to just be in attendance.

such bullshit that they played 6 songs, curfew or not
amazing photos!
how were the Sainthood Reps?
was curfew really the reason they stopped after 6 songs? what kind of time management went on. glad I wasn't able to get tickets for this, even though i love glassjaw.
soo... were the six songs good atleast?
Beck cut his finger open a week ago - ten stitches - he couldn't play anymore.
