Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park have been busy the past couple months and apparently it's just the start of things. The group are in the mist of finishing up their debut full length at White Heat Recording Studios, which is slated for a March release. They also have a slew of shows upcoming up this winter as well as tours planned for the spring. Their set Saturday featured and even split of old and new material all of which were fast paced, in-your-face rock. This was the first performance I've seen of the band where they haven't broken a piece of a equipment before the end of their set, but they made up for it by eradicating everything on stage at the conclusion of their performance.

Those Mockingbirds are also another Jersey band with alot of things happening at the moment. The group recently signed to SideCho Records. They will be putting out their first release in the coming months. We'll let you know as soon as a release date is released. TMB will also be appearing on WMCX Radio this Friday @ 7pm. You'll be able to stream their performance here. I'm happy to say the groups performance on Saturday was up to par with the high bar they set the first time I saw them this past summer. The group plays a familiar rock sound, yet does so with out sounding redundant. It's probably due to the fact the band definitely has the songs to back it up. To find out what I mean out check the MP3 below.

Washington Square Park is definitely pleasing to my ears. Really need to make it out to one of their shows soon.
