Pierced Arrows, the reincarnation of Dead Moon had no trouble in dishing out their dirty, noise rock to the Maxwell's crowd this past Saturday, October 10th. The trio did what they do best, which is plow through a set of angst filled songs that pick up where Dead Moon left off. Pierced Arrows put out their first LP back in 2008 entitled Straight To The Heart via Tombstone Records. The group is currently on a national tour, which wraps up Halloween in Portland. The Oh Sees

The Oh Sees seem to be a band everybody has been meaning to see live. Take it from someone who has had the pleasure of catching them numerous times, this is a band you need to make time to see. This San Francisco four-some has been at it for awhile and have quite an impressive discography built up. Their performance this time around was not missing much. Collectively the group was perfectly in sync and their song selection was a great mix between old and new material. I'm not the only one who seemed to think so either, the crowds reaction was definitely warm to say the least.
